TURQUOISE PAW RESCUE

Foster a Pet!

Can you love an animal for a temporary period of time?

We are looking for some rockstars to help us with fostering animals! Turquoise Paw receives many intake requests daily and we could really use more community support in order to help with more of these calls. Our fosters assist with bottle baby puppies and kittens, young puppies, moms with litters, seniors and dogs that are less than social, pregnant mamas, and even medical cases. We need temporary homes for everyone! As a foster, you become the bridge between life and death for some of these animals.

What is Fostering?

Opening your home to an animal temporarily and caring for it. Giving it love, attention and basic care, while also helping them build a strong foundation to move on to a receiving rescue to get adopted.

How long will I have the animal?

Typically, 2-3 weeks. Varies dependent on when we find a receiving rescue and can arrange transportation.

Do I need experience?

We do prefer that our potential fosters have at least some personal pet experience, but if not, you may still become a foster! Our Foster Coordinators can get you set-up and answer any questions you may have.

What supplies will I need?

Nothing! We will supply everything. Food, beds, crates, veterinary checkups. We simply need your home, your love for animals and basic care of the pet.

Is there anything else I need to know?

Yes! Fostering is hands-down one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. To see a pup or kitty go from hungry and scared, to well fed and playful, is the best feeling in the world!Contact us below to get started today!

Volunteer Program and Foster Program

Looking for a way to help/big impact? How about helping more than just one pet? Fostering may be just for you. Through our program, foster volunteers are able to help house unadopted animals until finding a perfect placement. By fostering you help open more space at the clinic, help save an animal’s life, all while getting to call them friend.

My family and I started fostering because we truly believe that all of God's four legged, furry angels deserve the best lives! It saddens our hearts to see these wonderful, innocent little pups being neglected, abused, and abandoned.

We love to bring them into our home and shower them with affection. It is our ultimate goal to re-establish even the smallest amount of trust in humans

My name is Emilee and I am a foster for Turquoise Paw and I foster because it changes lives! Seeing a dog go from emaciated and terrified to playful and confident is truly one of the world's most rewarding experiences. Turquoise Paw is so awesome to work with because they really prioritize their volunteers and go out of their way to check in and make sure you have everything you need. Saving dogs off the reservation is not easy and Turquoise Paw is working tirelessly to help as many animals as possible. I'm just thankful to be able to contribute in some way to the cause.
